Find Your Self-Love Within

The way I work with you can be summed up by the following quote:

My sessions give you a friendly, supportive, confidential place to be curious about your own emotional and spiritual life and, over time, reach a place of deeper peace and understanding. When ‘life happens’ – and it does happen to us all at some point – that is when we look for understanding, meaning, and compassion – all of which come from within. Looking within, rather than seeking some external solution, is the only true way to heal. This is your time to find the answers inside yourself, with me supporting you on this journey.

I am an integrative psychotherapist and trauma therapist in Rochdale and online, which means I draw from a range of modalities to provide a form of help suited to you. See below for a full list of the modalities I use with clients.


EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an established, proven therapeutic technique that focuses on releasing the trauma you hold in your body. In a warm, cosy environment, I will bring you into a state of relaxation and move my fingers back and forth in front of your face as we walk through a traumatic event. Doing this reconnects you in a safe, guided way to the images, thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations associated with that trauma, thereby “unhooking” the pain and automatic reflexes linked to this trauma and allowing you to process it as a normal memory.


Hypnotherapy is another particularly effective method for engaging with the trauma that lies behind certain problems like depression, anxiety, or addiction, along with giving you the tools you need to make the changes you need to make in your life. I will put you into a hypnotic state of deep relaxation – that space between being awake and asleep – allowing us to connect and engage with your subconscious mind, which is where we can make meaningful lasting change and get to the source of the issues you live with on a daily basis.


As a qualified and accredited psychotherapist, I can work with you to get to the root cause of complex issues that you may have struggled with for some time, such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or relationships. Together, and in a way that feels comfortable for you, we will explore your past attachments and memories, looking at how they influence the way you think, feel, and behave in the present moment. Having this understanding of where your problems come from makes it easier to manage them going forward.

Relational Therapy

The relationship between the client and practitioner is the most important part of the therapeutic process. If you don’t feel comfortable and truly seen during sessions, you won’t speak completely freely, which is so crucial for making progress. By establishing this bond of trust, we can then use our therapeutic relationship as a route towards understanding how you relate to yourself, other people, the wider world, and how this influences your sense of worth and wellbeing.

Solution-Focused Therapy

You might be facing a particular problem, like an issue in a relationship or some other kind of crisis, and need a peaceful, confidential place of solace to talk it through in your own way. I will walk alongside you with compassion and empathy throughout, giving you the space to process what has happened and offering guidance as to how you could potentially overcome this issue.


To make sure each treatment is as personalised as possible to each client, I can also offer a unique blend of aromatherapy oils as part of my service. The combination of natural oils used can be tailored to your specific problem, whatever it may be, such as high levels of stress, sleep problems, or depression.
